A Poem By Peter Bittman

She could feel but not say it
She could say but not feel it

She tried to grasp it but didn't catch it

I wrote songs and played the guitar really well
I could feel it, I could say it

I walked up on the stage
I sat on a bar chair and reached for my instrument

She sat in the audience with her eyes wide opened

I reached for the microphone and grabbed it
My guitar played and the song sang my lyrics

Suddenly goose bumps traveled up her spine
The lyrics, the sound of strings made her feel and remember

His songs made her go back in memory and feelings
Made her feel the love she felt then
She could play this memory over and over again
Feel the anxiety, feel the muscles very much in an alive state

She gazed at him as he played
She could feel the memory arousing her
Don't stop playing, let me be in this feeling she thought

His song made it feasible to go back
She felt the love and she became.. in love with him
